Harris Park Vision: Happy lifelong learners. Positive and passionate in every way.

We are happy to have you at Harris Park! 🌟
Where every learner leads, and every voice matters.
Dear Harris Park Families,
Welcome to a joyful and purposeful school year at Harris Park Elementary—where every child is seen, supported, and celebrated. We are proud to serve our community with a powerful shared vision: to grow happy lifelong learners who are positive, passionate, and empowered in every way.
As a Computer Science Focus School, Harris Park students engage in creative, hands-on learning that connects academic goals with real-world skills. Through coding, robotics, engineering, and digital leadership, our students develop critical thinking and solution-oriented mindsets. Our Maker Space brings learning to life—featuring a giant Lego wall, 3D printers, robots, and circuits designed to spark innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in every student.
🌟 At Harris Park, students are not just learners—they are leaders.
Each child maintains a Learning Portfolio to track their academic, leadership, and life goals. They reflect on their progress and lead their own family conferences, building confidence and ownership of their learning journey. Student voice is not only welcomed—it’s a driving force behind our culture of growth, inclusion, and leadership.
🤝 Families Are Our Partners
You are your child’s first and most important teacher, and we are honored to walk beside you. We deeply value your partnership and the role you play in your child’s success.
📚 Homework with Purpose
Instead of traditional homework packets, we focus on two essential practices that fuel student growth:
-
Reading for 20 minutes each night to build fluency, comprehension, and a love of books
-
Math fact practice to strengthen confidence and speed with foundational skills
This goal-driven practice is personalized to each student’s level and supports their path to mastering academic targets. You don’t need to teach the material—just help create a consistent routine and encourage your child’s effort. Teachers provide weekly updates to keep families informed and involved every step of the way.
📬 Stay in the Know
Every Sunday at 6:00 PM, you’ll receive a phone call, text, and email with updates, reminders, and celebrations to help your family stay connected.
Thank you for trusting us with your child’s education. We are so excited to grow, learn, and lead together this year!
With love,
