The students of Westminster High School, led by Student Council members, made a bigger impact than ever for Make-A-Wish Colorado this year.
The student chosen for this year’s wish was Edwin, a five-year-old with a respiratory disease who is dreaming of a trip to Disney World.
Students got to work organizing events such as a 5K run/walk, a night out at Skate City, and new this year- a dodgeball tournament featuring staff and administrators! Students were also able to donate by throwing a pie at a teacher at the pep assembly that took place on the last day of the Make-A-Wish week.
With all the hard work from Student Council, especially the Sophomore class president Ida McCoy, Westy blew past their fundraising goal of $8500 to raise $11,514.75!
