Parent-Student Handbook

At Harris Park Elementary we have worked hard to ensure that we have established protocols and expectations that will maintain a safe learning environment for our students and staff. Please take some time to review our handbook with your child. Together discuss what these protocols mean for your child and family. Once you have read through the handbook, please complete the Handbook Agreement Form found under Important Forms.

Parent & Family Involvement

You are your child's first and most important teacher. Westminster Public Schools (WPS) recognizes that parents/families are the child's first and most influential teachers. Parents are diverse in culture, language, and needs. They share the school's commitment to the educational success of their children. A child's education is shared by the school, family and community during the entire period the child spends in school.

Reading to children, serving as guest speakers, assisting with PTA, and on school-based improvement committees are a few of the many volunteer opportunities that await parents in WPS. With 20 schools and several service facilities, WPS appreciates the valuable time parents donate to building brighter futures for our students. In addition to the resources found on this site, parents are encouraged to contact their child's teachers and school office for more information and partner opportunities.
